I don't personally use this, but one of my friends plays on a laptop that has issues with hunt trains, so we found there's actually a macro for the graphics settings. Not a macro, but when I pick up my hunt bills, I will turn on the "Recommended" tab(found in "Duty") then set it to "Hunts" and lock it, so I can easily go through each area and it will say the enemies in that area I need to kill. There is also my /mountbgm on/off macros, because I love the music for my raid mounts, amaro, and my motorcycle but not the generic mount music. Could also use /generaldutykey which also level syncs, but I am not sure what else it does. One I use all the time is /levelsync, for fates! I absolutely hate clicking select through the hud to get to the duty list(and often don't have it up anyway) so I just made a macro and it's on my hotbar too. Oh that's a cool idea! Could potentially free up a hud profile depending on the layout! And actually i may use it to change from using one profile for clean UI with minimap to a macro that turns the minimap on. Sorry for the huge wall of text, if you found this stuff interesting but need more help or wanna know some more macros I use for ease and usability feel free to ask, I love to help out. Then you can either use the virtual mouse(L1+R3) or click through the list of entries>click gear>then unselect "Display Element" to turn them off as you see fit.įor first "Important duty" profile (icon is yellow number 1)įor second "Clean Questing" profile (icon is yellow number 2)Īnd third "Clean Minimap" profile (icon is yellow number 3) HUD layout can be found in System> HUD Layout and the way you change the different profile is to select different number 1-4. The command /targetring off shows the little circle around selected enemies/npcs/players which I find really obnoxious while questing! Ideally you'd set the first for "everything enabled" for duties/trials/raids/etc, the second for completely free UI, the third mostly free UI but with minimap enabled(for questing/gathering). I'll also recommend these HUD layout macros I use. You will still need to go into the system menu others listed to turn off things like player minion names/chocobos/etc that you never need to see at all. To turn back on(I have chosen the icon to be a horizontal line) To turn off(I have chosen the icon to be the circle with a slash through) Then you can change them on and off with the click of a button. So if you go into System> User Macros you can paste these two into two separate entries, then click square>set to hotbar>place on one of the back hotbars(5-8) you don't use for combat. Here is a good video that shows how to get there and macro basics: (especially as controller user, ease is paramount) I would like to suggest something, and that is to macro this option! Because sometimes viewing player names while in duties/trials/raids/pvp is very useful, I like to turn them on easily.
